55 Foundations that have given Social Justice grants in Minnesota

The Midtown Phillips Neighborhood Association, Inc. shall promote the social health of the community by involving citizens in its activities and shall reach out to all segments of the community including traditionally under-represented groups. The Midtown Phillips Neighborhood Association, Inc. will promote: 1) The physical and cultural health of the community by fostering housing and open space programs which reflect the needs of the community and which promote social-economic and racial-cultural diversity within the Midtown Phillips Neighborhood; 2) The best interests of its community and represent those interests to other organizations and public bodies. This includes recommending action to governmental bodies and responding to proposals for residential and commercial development or liability within the Midtown Phillips neighborhood; 3) The safety and personal integrity of all individuals living, working, and visiting within Midtown Phillips Neighborhood.

THROUGH UNITY WE WILL STRENGTHEN OUR VOICES AND BUILD RESOURCES TO CREATE AWARENESS AND ELIMINATE SEXUAL VIOLENCE AGAINST INDIAN WOMEN AND CHILDREN.WE WILL VIGOROUSLY APPLY OUR EFFORTS TOWARD INFLUENCING SOCIAL CHANGE AND RECLAIM OUR TRADITIONAL VALUES THAT HONOR THE SOVEREIGNTY OF INDIAN WOMEN AND CHILDREN.

BUILDS SOCIAL, RACIAL and ECONOMIC JUSTICE and GRASSROOTS DEMOCRACY THROUGH COMMUNITY ORGANIZING, EDUCATION,ADVOCACY and ELECTORAL POLITICS IN MN. THIS INCLUDES DEVELOPING PROGRESSIVE IDEAS FOR THE FUTURE WITH RESEARCH. SERVES AS THE ROUNDTABLE FOR COORDINATED COMMUNICATION BY A VARIETY OF ORGANIZATIONS THAT SHARE COMMON GOALS and MISSIONS TO COORDINATE THEIR ACTIVITIES and SPEAK WITH A UNIFIED VOICE.

TO EMPOWER GIRLS FROM JHARKHAND, INDIA, TO CHOOSE THEIR OWN FUTURES. GIRLS AND WOMEN IN THAT AREA FACE SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES, INCLUDING CHILD MARRIAGE, TRAFFICKING, ABUSE, MALNUTRITION, ILLITERACY AND OVERALL GENDER DISCRIMINATION THAT IMPACTS THEM FROM VERY YOUNG AGES.

TO ACTIVELY PROMOTE AND SAFEGUARD THE SECURITY, HUMAN RIGHTS AND WELL BEING OF ETHIOPIANS AND OTHER PEOPLE OF THE HORN OF AFRICA, WHEREVER THEY ARE FOUND.
